The shallow story is the motive for variations of perverted sex scenes, inclusive a joke with Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds", but with pigeons instead. This feature is a delight for fans of sexploitation with some of the sexiest Brazilian "actress" of the 80's. My vote is six.

O Romance conta, de forma quase poética, o amor de um branco, Martim Soares Moreno, pela índia Iracema, a virgem dos lábios de mel e de cabelos tão escuros como a asa da graúna.

A relação do casal serviria de alegoria para a formação da nação brasileira. A índia Iracema representaria a natureza virgem e a inocência enquanto o colonizador Martim (referência explicita ao deus grego da guerra, Marte) representa a cultura (européia). Da junção dos dois surgirá a nação brasileira representada alegoricamente, então, pelo filho do casal, Moacir ("filho do sofrimento").
